Albert Connect Privacy Policy
Last updated: 20 October 2026
This policy covers Albert Connect, the closed professional marketplace available through the Albert Connect mobile app, the web marketplace and albert-connect.com. It covers people who apply to join, accepted professionals, their organisations, and visitors to our Connect pages. Albert Club is a separate product for private members; this policy does not describe Club membership or its app features.
Controller and contact: Albert Connect Company, a Delaware corporation (file number 10768163), 131 Continental Dr, Suite 305, Newark, Delaware 19713, United States. For privacy questions or requests, use the contact form or email contact@albert-conciergerie.com.
1. What we collect
- Applications and accounts: your name, work email, phone number, credentials, city, languages, professional background, organisation, professional links, referral or guild code, application answers and information used to assess your application. Your password is handled by our authentication provider; we do not publish it to other professionals.
- Professional profile: your photograph, description, location or service area, languages, expertise and the information you choose to make visible to other accepted professionals.
- Marketplace activity: listings and their images or files, offers, prices, commission splits, messages and attachments, agreements, delivery confirmations, ratings, reports, referrals and support requests. We record the timing and status of these actions so that a deal can be managed and disputes investigated.
- Payment and payout information: transaction amounts, currencies, payment status, refunds and disputes. For a payer, the billing details and email entered at checkout. For a professional who is paid, the company's legal name, registered address, registration, trade licence or tax identification number, invoicing email and bank details, and the invoices and approval records of each payout. Card details are entered in the secure form of our payment provider, Tazapay, and go to Tazapay: Albert never sees or stores them.
- Technical and website data: device and browser information, IP address, country inferred from the request, logs, page visits, referral source, a browser-stored visitor identifier and push-notification tokens where enabled. Our site uses local storage to count visits and short-lived cookies to remember referral and acquisition sources.
- Location, if you choose to provide it: your selected city and, where a location feature is enabled, device location used for that feature. You can control device permission and change the location information you share in the product.
Please do not put a client's name, contact details, passport, booking number or other identifying information in a public marketplace listing. If information about a client is needed to fulfil an agreed service, share only what is necessary with the relevant parties through the appropriate private flow.
2. Why we use it and our legal bases
- To review applications, create accounts and run the marketplace: assess professional eligibility, show profiles and listings to the intended audience, enable offers, messages, deals and support. Where GDPR applies, the basis is steps requested before a contract and performance of our contract with you.
- To process and document transactions: collect payments through Tazapay into Albert's own account with Tazapay, as the agent of the professional who is paid, hold them until release, pay professionals out, show payment and payout status, and administer commissions, invoices, refunds and disputes. The bases are contract, legal obligation and our legitimate interest in maintaining accurate transaction records.
- To protect the network: verify applications, screen activity for fraud or attempts to take deals off-platform, investigate reports and enforce our terms. The bases are legitimate interests in safety and integrity, and legal obligation where applicable. Automated checks may flag activity for human review. Tazapay also screens payments, payout beneficiaries and payouts on its side.
- To operate and improve the app and website: maintain security, troubleshoot, measure usage and attribute applications to a referral or campaign. The basis is our legitimate interest in operating and improving the service, or consent where local law requires it for a particular technology.
- To communicate: send service, application, transaction and security messages under our contract or legitimate interests. We send promotional messages where permitted by law; you may opt out of marketing without losing essential service messages.
- For optional features: use device location and send push notifications only when you enable the feature or grant the relevant device permission. You can withdraw that permission through your device or the product settings.
Some information is needed to assess an application, operate an account or complete a deal. If you do not provide it, we may be unable to approve access, provide the relevant feature or arrange payment.
3. Who can see or receive it
- Other professionals: accepted users can see the profile information and marketplace content made available to them. Listing visibility may be limited to the whole network, an organisation or a named professional. A limited, de-identified view of parts of the marketplace may be visible to visitors.
- The parties to a deal: the relevant professionals receive the information needed to discuss, agree and perform that deal. A professional who receives client information may also have independent data-protection obligations.
- Service providers: hosting, authentication and storage providers (including Supabase), infrastructure providers, email and push-delivery providers, and support or security providers process information for the functions they provide.
- Our payment provider, Tazapay: receives the payer's billing details and email, and the card details entered in its form, to process the payment, together with device and connection signals its payment page collects to prevent fraud; the paid professional's company and bank details, to register the company as a payout beneficiary and send payouts; and the documents sent with each payout (invoices and approval records), which it may share with its banking partners where they ask for them. Tazapay screens payments, beneficiaries and payouts under its own legal obligations, and its own privacy notice also applies.
- Albert Club requests: when a private-client request is routed through Albert Connect, we share only the information needed for the selected professional to respond or fulfil it. Club membership data is not made generally available to the Connect network.
- Authorities or advisers: where required by law, for compliance, or to establish or defend a legal claim.
We do not sell personal data or provide it to third parties for their own advertising.
4. Website storage and analytics
The Connect website stores a random visitor identifier in the browser and records page path, referrer, browser information and approximate country to understand site traffic. Referral cookies last 30 days; acquisition-source cookies last 90 days. You can clear cookies and local storage in your browser. Browser privacy settings may also limit this storage.
5. How long we keep information
We keep account and marketplace records while an account is active and for as long as reasonably needed afterwards to finish deals, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, prevent abuse and meet tax, accounting or other legal duties. Application information is kept for the time needed to assess the application and manage any follow-up. Retention depends on the record and applicable law; we do not keep every category for the same period. When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it. A deletion request does not erase records we are legally required to retain or records needed for an unresolved transaction or claim.
6. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may ask to access, correct, delete or obtain a copy of your personal data; restrict or object to certain processing; withdraw consent; or appeal a decision where local law provides that right. You can update some profile details and notification settings in the product. To make a request, use the contact form or email contact@albert-conciergerie.com. We may verify your identity before acting. You may also complain to the data-protection authority in your country.
7. Account deletion
If the app offers Delete account, you can use it from your account settings. You can also request deletion through the contact form using the email linked to your account. We will explain what can be removed and what must be retained for pending deals or legal obligations. Deleting a Connect account does not by itself change a separate Albert Club account.
8. International processing and security
Albert Connect operates internationally, and information may be processed in the United States, Europe and the countries in which our providers or transaction participants operate. Where a transfer mechanism is required, we use applicable safeguards and can provide further information on request. We use access controls, encryption in transit and other technical and organisational measures appropriate to the data; no system can be guaranteed completely secure.
9. Children and changes
Albert Connect is for professionals aged 18 or older and is not directed to children. We will update this page when our data practices change and revise the date above. For a material change, we will provide additional notice where required by law.
